the freshness of the peanut inside and the quality of the coating batter. Most commercial coated peanuts use peanuts from extended cold storage and pre-mixed
coating powder.

Thangamma's uses farm-sourced raw peanuts, sourced direct, no extended warehouse storage. The coating is a fresh blend mixed per batch, misted just enough to adhere evenly before frying.

Made with Vijay Gold rice flour, farm-sourced urad dal, and real Amul butter (yes, actual butter not a substitute, not a shortcut), pressed through a traditional mould into those signature swirling coils and fried fresh per order. No two batches are identical. That's how you know it's real.

Light enough to eat a dozen. Dangerous enough that you will.

Are the peanuts in the coating spicy?

Medium spice warm and flavourful rather than burning. The peanut flavour comes through, it doesn't drown in chilli.

The coating is thick — is that normal?

Yes, intentional. This is what gives you the proper crunch jacket. Thin coatings snap off; thick coatings stay with you through the bite.

Are these good for kids?

Mild enough for older children who eat spicy food. For very young kids, Thengozhal or Muthusaram would be better.

Can I use these in a trail mix or chaat?

Yes they hold their crunch well for an hour or two. For longer, keep them separate and add last.

Shelf life?

120 days sealed. Once opened, best within 10 days.
